Web design: fast sites that convert, wherever you sell.
Your site gets visits and no enquiries, or it looks dated next to the competitors your buyers compare you with. WebBox is a Dubai-based web design agency that designs and builds websites made to convert for businesses in the UK, US, Europe and the Middle East: custom WordPress sites, ecommerce stores on Shopify or WooCommerce, and fully custom builds in HTML and Next.js. Branding is done in house too, from the logo to the full brand pack, so the brand and the site come from one team.
Every pixel has a job.
Pretty is not the goal. A page earns its keep by moving a visitor from “what is this?” to “book a call” with nothing in the way. Hover a number to see why it's there. Tap a number to see why it's there.
The questions worth asking.
The three things people ask us before they buy, answered without the sales gloss.
How long does a website take?
A brochure site with content ready typically takes two to four weeks. A mid-size business site with custom design and several page types runs four to eight weeks. Complex builds with e-commerce, integrations or a content migration run eight to sixteen. The biggest variable isn't the build, it's how fast copy, images and sign-offs arrive.
WordPress, Shopify or a custom build?
WordPress suits content-led sites your team updates often. Shopify suits a store that wants hosted, low-maintenance selling, and WooCommerce suits a store that should live inside WordPress with full control. A custom build in Next.js suits bespoke features, heavy integrations or strict speed targets. We recommend the platform that fits the job, and you own the design, code and domain either way.
Will a new site bring in more business?
Only if it's built for that. We design every page around the action that matters, make it fast on a phone, and give visitors the proof they need to act. A good-looking site with no clear next step doesn't grow anything.
A site that looks fine and does nothing.
Visits arrive, enquiries don't, and the ones that do go cold
The site loads slowly on a phone, buries what you do under a slogan, and gives visitors no clear next step. When someone does fill in the form, it lands in a shared inbox and waits. By the time anyone replies, they've booked with a competitor.
A site that pulls its weight
A fast, clear site on the right platform, with a brand that looks the part and pages that turn visits into enquiries and sales. Built so your team can run it, and ready to connect to the systems behind it when you want them.
Three ways to build, one standard.
We choose the build by what the site has to do, how often the content changes and who will run it. Whichever fits, the design is bespoke, the site is fast, and you own everything at the end.
Custom WordPress sites
- Designed from scratch, never a bought theme with your logo on it.
- A lean custom theme with editable blocks for your layouts.
- Custom post types for services, team, case studies or listings.
- Security hardening, backups and updates set up from day one.
Ecommerce on Shopify or WooCommerce
- Shopify for hosted, low-maintenance selling.
- WooCommerce when the store should live inside WordPress.
- Product, collection and checkout pages designed to sell.
- Payments, shipping, tax and stock set up and tested.
Custom builds in HTML and Next.js
- Hand-built HTML and CSS for small sites that must be very fast.
- Next.js for bespoke features, portals and heavy integrations.
- A headless CMS so your team still edits the content.
- Version-controlled code you own outright.
WordPress, built properly.
WordPress powers more websites than any other content management system, because it is flexible and easy to edit. Most WordPress sites are slow for the same reasons: a heavy theme, a page builder and a stack of plugins doing what a few lines of code could. We design the site first, then build a lean custom theme around it, so your team gets the editor it knows without the bloat. Our WordPress SEO guide covers the settings that matter once it is live.
- Bespoke design and a custom theme, not a template from a marketplace.
- Custom blocks and post types, so your team adds pages without breaking the layout.
- Only the plugins the site needs, kept updated, with security hardening and backups.
- Multilingual setup with correct hreflang tags when you publish in more than one language.
Online stores on Shopify or WooCommerce.
Shopify is a hosted platform: it looks after hosting, security and checkout, and suits brands that want to sell without running servers. WooCommerce is a free, open-source plugin that turns WordPress into a store, and suits businesses that want full control, with content and commerce in one place. We tell you which fits before we start, then design the store around how your customers buy. See our ecommerce web design service for how a store build runs, from payments to Arabic and English versions.
- Product, collection and cart pages designed to sell, not left on theme defaults.
- Payment gateways, shipping rules, taxes and stock set up and tested before launch.
- Fast product pages, with images sized and compressed for the phone.
- Product structured data, so price and availability can show in search results.
- Order notifications and abandoned-cart emails connected from day one.
Fully custom sites in HTML and Next.js.
When a site needs features no theme or app covers, or has to be as fast as possible, we build it in code. A small site can be hand-built HTML and CSS with nothing to slow it down. Larger builds use Next.js, the React framework, with pages rendered on the server or ahead of time, so they load quickly and search engines read them in full.
- Bespoke features: calculators, configurators, portals, booking and member areas.
- Integrations with your CRM, ERP, payment provider or any system with an API.
- A headless CMS so your team edits content without touching code.
- Version-controlled code you own, deployed on hosting matched to the site.
Your brand, designed by the same team.
If you are starting out, or the business has outgrown its logo, we design the brand in house before the site, so the identity and the website are built as one. No second agency, and no brand guidelines arriving after the site has launched.
- Logo design, with versions for light and dark backgrounds, an icon and social avatars.
- Colour palette and typography, with the rules for using them.
- Brand guidelines your team and suppliers can follow.
- A brand pack: logo files in every format, social templates, email signatures and stationery.
Every section earns its place.
Before any design starts we map the visitor's decision path: what they need to know, what makes them doubt, and what proof answers that doubt. Each section exists to move them one step closer to the action.
- A hero that says what you do and who for, in one read.
- Proof and the offer placed where decisions get made.
- One primary call to action per page, kept in reach as they scroll.
Speed is part of the design.
Every extra second on load costs enquiries and rankings, so speed is designed in from the start rather than tuned at the end. We test against Google's Core Web Vitals before launch and watch real-visitor data after it.
- Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds, the point Google rates as good for loading.
- Interaction to Next Paint within 200 milliseconds, so taps and clicks respond at once.
- Cumulative Layout Shift under 0.1, so nothing jumps while the page loads.
- Images in modern formats at the size they display, and no script the page doesn't need.
Built for the phone in their hand.
Most of your visitors arrive on a phone, often from WhatsApp, Instagram or a search on the move. We design mobile-first and test on real devices. Tap targets, type sizes and contrast are checked on the phone, not just in a desktop preview.
- Mobile-first layouts, not desktop squeezed down.
- Tested across real devices and screen sizes.
- Accessible, legible and easy to tap throughout.
A design system your team can extend.
The site is built from a consistent set of type, colour, spacing and components, so a page your team adds six months from now matches the ones we launched. Your team edits copy and adds pages in a CMS without calling us, and without breaking the layout.
- One set of design tokens used everywhere.
- Reusable components for new pages.
- A CMS your team can use with a short handover session.
Ready to be found from day one.
Clean structure, fast pages, proper headings, schema markup, an XML sitemap and an llms.txt file ship with the site. That means you can start on SEO or GEO without rebuilding anything, and AI engines can read and quote your pages from the start. Redesigning an existing site? We map every old URL to its new one with 301 redirects, so the rankings you have carry over.
Selected work.
Conversion-led rebuild
A bold hero, scannable proof and a demo booking that never leaves the screen, built in Next.js and wired into the sales CRM.
Trust-led brand site
Services, proof and booking up front on a custom WordPress theme the team edits themselves.
Fast storefront
Quick product pages built to sell on Shopify or WooCommerce, with stock, shipping and abandoned-cart follow-up connected.
Authority site
A new brand identity and the site to match: story, content and a clear way to get in touch.
How a build runs.
For a mid-size site the work runs in order: discovery and wireframes, then design and content, then build, integration testing and review. Custom features such as booking or payments add time. We agree the schedule before we start.
Plan
We map the journey from first visit to enquiry or sale, agree the one thing each page has to do, and choose the platform. If you need branding, the logo and brand pack are designed here, before the pages. Scope, pages and integrations are fixed at this stage.
Design
You see real pages with real copy, not mood boards, and sign off section by section.
Build and connect
We build on the agreed platform from a design system, load the real content, connect forms, payments and integrations, and check Core Web Vitals before launch.
Launch and refine
We ship, watch what visitors actually do, and tune the pages that matter. We also check that every test enquiry and order reached the right place.
Beyond the build: what happens after the click.
Once the site is right, the next gain is what happens after someone presses submit. Plenty of agencies stop at the contact form. If you want it, we build the rest with the same team that runs our AI Automation work.
Forms straight into your CRM
Every enquiry creates a record with the page it came from, the service they asked about and the campaign that brought them. No copy-pasting from email, no lead that only exists in someone's inbox.
A reply in minutes, not days
An automated first response goes out the moment a form is submitted, with an AI step that drafts a reply in your tone to the question they actually asked. Your team picks it up from there.
Follow-up that doesn't rely on memory
If the lead doesn't book, the system follows up on a schedule you set and flags the ones worth a call.
Booking built in
Visitors pick a slot from your real calendar, get a confirmation and a reminder, and the booking lands in the CRM next to the enquiry.
Tracking you can trust
Analytics and conversion events set up at launch, so you can see which pages and channels produce enquiries, not just traffic.
The connections are built with the same tools as our AI Automation work: n8n, Zapier, Make and Airtable, connected to the CRM you already run.
How it works for a real business.
Say you run a London estate agency with eight agents. Today, enquiries from the website go to one shared inbox, and whoever sees one first replies, sometimes the next day.
After the rebuild, each listing page has one action: book a viewing. The form asks for the property, preferred times and budget. On submit, the lead appears in the CRM assigned to the agent who covers that area, the visitor gets a confirmation with available slots, and the agent gets a WhatsApp alert. If nobody books within a day, a follow-up goes out with two similar listings. The manager sees every enquiry, response time and booking on one dashboard.
Same traffic. Every lead answered, assigned and tracked.
Why WebBox.
Brand, design and build under one roof
Branding, design, build and launch come from one in-house team, so nothing gets lost between a brand agency, a designer and a developer.
Built to convert
Every section earns its place. The goal is an enquiry, a sale or a booking, and the design serves that.
Fast and foundation-ready
Performance and structure are designed in, so the site is ready for search and AI answers without a rebuild later.
Ready to connect
The same team builds our AI automation work, so when you want the site wired into your CRM and follow-up, there's no handover.
What clients say.
The old site was fine to look at. The difference is what happens after someone fills in the form. Before, it went to an inbox that three of us half-watched. Now it's in the CRM with the right person's name on it before I've even seen the notification.
